Radio Nation [episode 14]

Feb. 8, 2011

This week on Radio Nation, Nicholas Pescod talks about Super Bowl XLV, including the Green Bay Packers’ win and Christina Aguilera’s anthem gaff – and no he’s not making fun of her. The intro is Aguilera singing the Star-Spangled Banner at Pittsburgh’s Civic Centre, formerly Melon Arena, in a game between the Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks in 1992. She was only 11 years old, and not only did she get the words right, she stunned the entire crowd.

Plus, New Jersey Devils goalie Martin Brodeur is injured again, a man dies after being stabbed by a rooster (?!), and Canadian Olympian Clara Hughes (medal winner in both Summer and Winter Olympics, tied for most medals won by a Canadian Olympian) and her battle with depression.

Tonight’s featured artist is Solotious, a hip-hop artist from Neptune, New Jersey. You can check him out on ReverbNation and MySpace.
