Hungry fashion models at Toronto Fashion Week want to be fed. They’ve started a campaign to get their handlers to provide better working conditions behind the scenes so they can strut their stuff on the runways without their stomachs rumbling.

Centennial Journalism’s Arifa Rattansi reports.

About the 2013 Journalism Radio Docs

Did the 2013 Hollywood film “Don Jon” influence women to set unrealistic expectations about romance and about their men? How will the Drake rebranding and hosting the NBA All Star Game affect the success of the Toronto Raptors?

The answers to these questions can be found in these new radio documentaries, prepared by the first-semester journalism students at Centennial College in Toronto, as part of their Intro to Newspaper Reporting class J0-102 in December 2013.

The students also reported on issues ranging from a look at the new Sony PS4, to selling art in a nightclub, and from how a local family became zombies for the day, to how some fashion models are fighting back against working conditions at Toronto Fashion Week.
