Segment 1: NBA
We open the show touching on the NBA Western Conference Finals. We focus on the differences between Dwight Howard and Steph Curry. We talk about the good things that Curry brings on the court and off and how it is the opposite for Howard. We discuss if Howard will ever win a championship and that how 5 years ago you thought he would easily be one of the top 10 centres of all time, but now he is not in the discussion.
Segment 2: NHL
We keep talking playoffs, but this time in the NHL. We mention how this is the 3rd time in NHL history that both conference finals go to 7 games. We talk about the Chicago / Anaheim match up and that our hearts are more with Captain Crunch and the Blackhawks. We also agree that it feels like it doesn’t matter who wins between Lightning and the Rangers as that they will will to the Western Winner.
Segment 3: Touchy feely moment
We recognize the fact that we each missed a week and this is the first time in awhile that we have done a podcast together. A tear is shed, we are re-united and it feels so good.
We then discuss the Babcock hiring and what are expectations are for him and the Leafs.
Segment 4: FIFA Scandal
We review the FIFA scandal that has recently broke out and that we are not surprised regard of the corruption or how deep the corruption was. This was all expected. We wonder if it will ever get to Sepp Blatter and whether this affects the 2018 and 2022 World Cup host sites.
