Episode breakdown:

Segment 1
John Herdman, coach of Canada’s Women’s Soccer team has high praise for Christine Sinclair and rightfully so.  We discuss the team star and what she has contributed as well as Canada’s chances against England this upcoming weekend in the Quarterfinals.  We berate organizers for not including Toronto as a site for the World Cup, but in turn praise the fans for the support as their was 50,000 fans showing up to the Canadian games.

Segment 2
Mood sours as we renew how poor the leafs have done and that they did not win any NHL Awards.. heck, they weren’t even nominated and rightfully so.  We discuss some of the winners and move on from the best in the league to the best that will be drafted.  No surprise as to who is going first or second in the NHL draft, but who will be available for Toronto to pick up and will they go homegrown and pick Ontario born Strome or Marner.

Segment 3
We try to get off our rant and we discuss how well Giovinco has stepped into TFC and the MLS.  We hope that this will mean a playoff birth but at least it has been entertaining to watch.  Joe needs more convincing before he brings his dad to a game again, but he can’t argue that the level of play has increase with Bradley, Giovinco and Altidore on the team.

Continuing on positive thinking we touch on the Blue Jays and how things have been working for them over the last 20 to 30 games.  Offence best in the MLB this year and not only for this year, they may become one of the best offences, in the history of MLB.
