Between the Trenches looks to provide an entertaining and informative look on the National Football League. Hosts Duane Turner and Mitch Sanderson provide insight on the latest news in the NFL and offer previews and analysis on all the teams that make up the biggest sport in North America.

Segment 1: We are joined by special guest host Kyle Enright for this episode. With so much happening in the NFL preseason, we catch you up with our take on the first month of football and have some breaking news. Tom Brady has beaten his suspension; how did he do it? What does this mean for Brady, the Patriots and the NFL moving forward?
Segment 2: The preseason always brings up a lot of questions regarding length, injuries, money, and performance. We try to keep you up to date with the biggest storylines this year and let you know what we think. Players like Kelvin Benjamin and Jordy Nelson have been lost for the year, is this just a case of football is football or does something need to change?
Segment 3: The Washington Redskins have been a hot mess. Nothing has gone right for this team since the end of Robert Griffin’s rookie season. Much of the stench stems from stubborn owner Dan Snyder. Our guest host Kyle gives an interesting take on the brown and yellow and we let you know how things are shaping up in DC.
Segment 4: One of the most exciting parts of training camp is the position battles happening everyday on each team. We talk about some of the top position battles and the cuts that have resulted, but we really focus on some of the top quarterback battles. The Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills, and Cleveland Browns all had interesting battles under centre, not to mention top rookie picks Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota.
Segment 5: We wrap up with a few looks at some new faces in new places. A lot of new head coaches this season as well as some big names like LeSean McCoy and DeMarco Murray making moves in the offseason.
