<h2>Stan Behal, Toronto Sun</h2>
<p><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-5112" title="Stan Behal" src="http://centennialondemand.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Stan-Behal.jpg" alt="Stan Behal" width="151" height="200" />A staff photographer for the <em>Toronto Sun</em> since 1983, Stan Behal has covered subjects as diverse as fashion in Paris to the Olympic Games to the suffering of the Children of Chernobyl.</p>
<p>In 1988 Stan won the first sports photography National Newspaper Award for his picture of Ben Johnson beating Carl Lewis at the Olympic Games. In 1992 he was honored by the United Nations Environment Programme for his Paradise Lost series on the Brazilian rainforest. In 1997 Stan won silver from the World Press Photo Award Foundation for sports photography, a Pictures of the Year Award of Excellence from the National Press Photographers Association and his second citation of Merit from the National Newspaper Awards, all for a photograph of U.S. sprinter Gail Devers leaping into her coach’s arms at the 1996 Olympics.</p>
<p>In addition to working as a photojournalist, a commercial/corporate photographer and a portrait photographer, Stan donates his time and talents to charitable organizations.</p>
<p>Stan is one of the original-founding members of <a href="http://www.photosensitive.com/" target="_blank">Photosensitive</a>, a nationally recognized co-operative of professional photographers whose sole purpose is to give back to our community through projects in photojournalism.</p>
<p>Their collective works have been exhibited annually on subjects focusing on poverty in Toronto, Toronto&#8217;s Hospital for Sick Children, on Canada&#8217;s multicultural mosaic, Child Poverty, and on the many services provided to our needy through our various charities. Photosensitive received the Queen&#8217;s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2003 for their societal contributions and the Community Service Award in 2002 from the Family Service Association of Metropolitan Toronto.</p>
<h2>Graeme Roy, Canadian Press</h2>
<p>Graeme Roy is the Directory of News Photography at the <a href="http://www.thecanadianpress.com/" target="_blank">Canadian Press</a>, the country&#8217;s leading multimedia news and information agency.</p>
<p>He has organized and overseen coverage of multiple major events, including this past year&#8217;s Winter Olympics, where The Canadian Press was the host news agency, royal tours, papal tours, numerous G8/G20 summits, The Summit of the Americas, both Winter and Summer Olympics, Grey Cups, Stanley Cups, just to name a few.</p>
<p>He is in charge of and responsible for all editorial photography done each day by the agency across the country and is a 25-year veteran of the news business.</p>
<h2>Dyan Parro, Thumbnail Art &amp; Design</h2>
<p>Before starting her own freelance business, Dyan Parro art-directed a number of successful publications, including <em>Style at Home</em> and <em>Wedding Bells Magazine</em>. In 1995 she started Thumbnail Art Direction + Design Inc. and has continued along this path, running a successful freelance business as a creative director. Throughout her 17 years with Thumbnail, she has art directed publications in the financial, lifestyle, fashion, home decor, shopping and IT business categories. Dyan has been called upon to launch several new publications, as well as redesign existing publications as a result of her vast knowledge of both consumer and niche market design strategies. Her design skills and her experience with print production and advanced technology are what made her Magazines Canada’s choice to art direct <em>Look Like A Hero, The Art Directors Guide to Magazine Print Production</em> in 2004.</p>
<p>Dyan also taught design for four years in the <a title="Book and Magazine program" href="http://www.centennialcollege.ca/Programs/ProgramOverview.aspx?Program=6438" target="_blank">Book and Magazine Publishing</a> department at <a title="Centennial College" href="http://www.centennialcollege.ca/" target="_blank">Centennial College</a>. She taught and encouraged each year’s students to bring the magazine<br />
<a title="On the Danforth" href="http://onthedanforth.ca/" target="_blank"><em>On The Danforth</em></a> to the niche market magazine that is still is today.</p>
<p>Working along side some of the top photographers in the city and hired teams of makeup, hair, stylists, and models to create outstanding editorial, advertising, and brochure campaigns for numerous clients.</p>
<p>Dyan has been awarded numerous prizes from The Canadian Magazine Award Foundation, Kenneth R. Wilson Foundation, Creativity (New York), Communication Arts and the Advertising &amp; Design Club of Canada. She is also RGD-designated – a certified Registered Graphic Designer with the Ontario Registered Graphic Designers Association of Canada.</p>
