Partners Appreciation Event
March 28, 2007
Centennial College’s Centre for Creative Communications celebrated field placement partnerships with The Centre’s programs in art and design, advertising and public relations, integrated media and journalism and publishing departments.
Peter Kent, veteran broadcaster from Global TV and friend of The Centre, was on hand as the keynote speaker.
The Centre also recognized its longstanding field placement relationship with Toronto broadcaster CHUM Limited as part of the event. “Since the late 1970s, the reputation of our Broadcasting and Film graduates is so strong, senior CHUM-City people have been returning to us asking for more potential employees,” says Nate Horowitz, Dean, School of Communications, Media and Design.
Each year for more than 25 years, at least two Centennial interns and the Citytv scholar enjoy successful placements with the broadcaster’s general production department, Fashion Television, STAR Daily, SPACE, Breakfast TV, CityLine, Much Music and other CHUM properties.
