B+F Cubed 2008 – Groups V-Z

The Power of Three!

From January 11-13, 2008, the entire student body of the Broadcasting + Film Program (over 140 students) came together in production groups to compete in the first annual Broadcasting + Film Challenge.

The Project

The assignment was to make a three minute fictional film in three days (72 hours). The films were produced by groups made up of individual students from each of the three program years currently enrolled in the Broadcasting and Film Program.

Each student assumed a key production role on their project such as Producer, Writer, Director, Camera, Actors, Editor, Audio, Art Direction, etc.

Each team drew three special ingredients to be included in their fictional film. These included: a Character, a Location and a Prop (i.e. a lumberjack, a car wash and a burnt candle). The ingredients had to be included in the film in some way, shape or form. Each team drew a completely different set of ingredients.

Prizes were awarded for the most popular films, best prop, character and location as well as a Jury Prize and three Faculty Prizes.
