Crowds of demonstrators gathered at Queen’s Park on Sunday to participate in Slut Walk.
Starting at Queen’s Park and ending at the Toronto Police headquarters, the event was established to shed light on archaic beliefs about sexual assault.
As Beth Ford reports, it’s a response to the rather insensitive comments a Toronto Police officer made last January, when he said women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized.
