As The Heel Turns – episode 11
Pop and Big Al get real with this episode, tackling some serious social issues with the wisdom and aplomb that they are so well known for. But before that, we talk about Rusev and the Divas a lot. Like, a lot a lot.
Episode 11 breakdown
Segment 1:
An in-depth analysis of the Rusev/Summer/Dolph/Lana scandal worthy of the Warren Commission. We decide that Rusev needs to move on from blondes, leading to the dream pairing of #RusevSaraLee! This leads to an explanation of the concept of “shipping”, what the purpose of this whole angle is exactly, and then our usual discussion about the Divas overall.
Segment 2:
Our second hot hashtag of the show: #DivasRevulsion! How did the first ever all female “Beat the Clock” challenge go? Can Nikki Bella’s record-setting title reign be any more inane? What is the upside of the recent NXT call-ups?
Segment 3:
Legalese! We delve into a flurry of felonies surrounding some well known (and not so well known) wrestling personalities. In particular, the incident at the WWE Performance Center prompts Alex to focus on the broader issue of mental health problems and what we can do to further awareness. Also, the ugliness of casual racism, poor social media practices, and MURDER?!?
Segment 4:
We indulge in some fantasy booking (wait, come back!) in response to an intriguing twitter question (courtesy of @TakeoverTO83): If you could change the result of any one wrestling match in history, which one would it be?
