As The Heel Turns – episode 16

It truly is a new day with the return of Connor Dorion alongside your usual suspects, Big Al and Pop. That’s not the only big news as we have a major WWE show to discuss and we finally get on the Lucha Underground bandwagon in anticipation of the filming of the second season.

Episode 16 breakdown

Segment 1:
We jump right into Hell in a Cell coverage with an in-depth look at the show stealing Bray Wyatt/Roman Reigns encounter. Two performers who have come a long way, though they have an even longer road ahead to becoming true stars. This leads into the logical comparison between that cage match and the much anticipated main event cage match featuring Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker.

Segment 2:
analysis continues as we touch upon a perfectly serviceable WWE Championship match, the Ryback/Kevin Owens/bathroom break, the best Nikki Bella match ever, the New Day minus Xavier Woods, the (once again) dire state of the tag team division, the legitimately shocking return of Alberto Del Rio, and how everything tied into to this week’s Monday Night RAW.

Segment 3:
Like an oasis in the desert, the ATHT crew discovers Lucha Underground and we go over the first three episodes together. What works? What doesn’t? How does it stack up to the wrestling that we’re used to watching? Chavo Guerrero, Blue Demon Jr., Sexy Star, Prince Puma, Johnny Mundo, Mil Muertes, and Dario Cueto are just some of the fresh faces we get to know as we embark on this exciting binge watch.
