Episode 5 breakdown – The AFC East
Segment 1: The NY Jets have some new faces on board this season, none bigger than new head coach Todd Bowles. Brandon Marshall joins Gang Green to provide some veteran leadership and legitimacy to the receiver position. Can the Jets get out of the division basement in 2015?
Segment 2: The Miami Dolphins made a big splash in free agency adding Ndamukong Suh to an already stellar defensive line. The Fins added some new pass catchers for Ryan Tannehill and Joe Philbin survived another firing round in the NFL. Miami looks to be making a move within the division, but have they done enough?
Segment 3: Rex Ryan leads the charge as the Bills also try to move up the division after finishing 9-7 last year (their best record in a decade). Newly acquired bell cow LeSean McCoy and x-factor Percy Harvin add a new dynamic to the offence, but the big question remains, who’s their quarterback?
Segment 4: The Super Bowl champion New England Patriots have had a less-than-stellar offseason with a suspension being handed out to golden boy Tom Brady and the losses of veterans Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner, Vince WIlfork, Shane Vereen, and Stevan Ridley. But the Patriots are still the Patriots and Bill Belichick is still Bill Belichick and they won’t go down without a fight in 2015.
