Episode 13 breakdown – NBA Draft Lottery, Argos, NFL Rule Changes, Babwatch
Segment 1: We start off this week with some hoops action, talking the NBA draft lottery and the winners and losers. We discuss the potential top two picks, the luck of the Lakers and how those top picks can change your franchise. Finally, we dip into the Raptors area of the draft, seeing who may be available for them towards the bottom of the first round.
Segment 2: Moving on the Argos and the team’s sale to Larry Tanenbaum, we discuss the importance of having the team in a place where they can thrive and just worry about football. We also discuss the NFL rule change on the extra point, and how it impacts the game heading into this season.
Segment 3: After talking about it earlier, we confirm the Babcock news and talk about the potential impact he could have on the organization. We also debate whether his hiring actually can help turn the franchise around, after comparing it to the past management teams the Leafs have brought in. We discuss what’s next for the team and the position the Leafs are in now heading towards free agency and the draft.
