The overall theme of this Journal episode is celebration: Celebration of Cultures, Institutions and Festivals.
The show is hosted by Arthur Kravtsov and Mary Therese Vasquez, and features three documentaries.
“Little Portugal” is produced by Diogo Almeida, Tenzin Choezin, Kenesha Johnson, Alisha Oliphant and Josh Tiwari. It focuses on one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city, the people living there and the local businesses.
“Toronto Light Festival” is co-produced by Diogo Almeida and Adam Batuk, and takes us to the historic Distillery District in Toronto to look at some incredible art installations at the Toronto Festival of Light.
“Centennial 25th Anniversary”, produced by Segene Park, takes us to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the School of Communications, Media, Arts and Design, where two of our colleagues were part of the TV crew on the production. This documentary highlights the importance of hands-on learning.
The Journal is a lifestyle and newsmagazine show produced by Broadcasting students from Centennial College. The Journal 2020 series was filmed during the winter and completed during the COVID-19 crisis in April.
